01 — About

Software shaped by real-world constraints.

I'm a Computer Science student at Ashesi University and a Mastercard Foundation Scholar. I build full-stack web applications, mobile platforms, and machine learning systems.

Most of my recent work has been on Mboa Health, a Flutter health application for Cameroon. It covers health records, a clinic locator, reminders, an emergency portal, and a rule-based symptom checker, on a PHP backend with 88 automated tests across the app and API. It is still in development and has not been deployed.

I also founded Rise for Impact and lead the team behind it. It runs youth programmes in Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria and Rwanda, and I built the platform it runs on. Before that I spent a summer as an AI & Machine Learning intern at Future Interns, working on sales forecasting with Prophet, churn prediction with XGBoost, and a Dialogflow and OpenAI conversational agent.

Most of what I build targets lower-end Android devices on constrained networks. That shapes the engineering more than any framework choice does — it decides payload budgets, offline behaviour, and which features are worth their weight.

Four things worth showing.

Project 01

Mboa Health

A health application for Cameroon, built for low-end Android.

Getting to a clinic in Cameroon often means not knowing which one is open, how far it is, or what to do first. Paper records go missing between visits, and in an emergency there is no fast way to reach the right contact.

Flutter and Dart on the client with a PHP backend. A custom design system sets the palette, an 8pt spacing grid, and tonal surface elevation instead of shadows. 88 automated tests — 72 in Flutter, 16 on the API — and CI blocks a merge on lint or test failure.

Project 02

Rise for Impact

Founder & Team Lead — and the person who builds the platform.

A youth initiative running programmes in Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria and Rwanda. I founded it, lead the team, and built the software it runs on — the public site, a content area so programme staff can publish without a developer, fellowship application handling, and an admin view across the four countries.

Most people arrive on mid-range Android phones over mobile data, so page weight mattered more than anything else. Staff are volunteers, not operators, so anything needing a deploy to change was a design failure.

Project 03

Churn prediction

Subscriber churn modelling, shipped as a working interface.

An XGBoost classifier over listening behaviour, wrapped in a Streamlit app so the output is something a person can actually act on rather than a notebook cell. Built during a two-month AI & Machine Learning internship at Future Interns.

Project 04

AgriLink Ghana

A marketplace on a hand-rolled PHP MVC framework.

Connects farmers, buyers and transport providers across four role-based portals. Built for a software engineering course, on a framework I wrote rather than one I installed — which is the part worth looking at. The test suite runs if you clone it.
